Piling Shackle with Screw Pin (SCPSA)

Piling Shackles or Long Dee Shackles with Screw Pin are used commonly on construction sites to anchor to a piling sheet due to its extra long internal height.

Choose from six sizes starting from 1 Ton up to 5 Ton.

Material - Grade 4 (High Tensile Steel

Each shackle Body stamped with SWL , Size and Batch Number.

Safety Factor - Five times the WLL (SWL)

SWL from 1 Ton up to 5 Tons on request

Maintenance requirements are minimal. Keep shackles clean, the threads free of debris and protect from corrosion.

Regularly inspect shackles and, in the event of the following defects, refer the shackle to a Competent Person for thorough examination: illegible markings; distorted, worn, stretched or bent body; bent pin; damaged or incomplete thread forms; nicks, gouges, cracks or corrosion; incorrect pin; any other defect.

In the UK, the Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) make it clear that all shackles and eye bolts used for lifting purposes are lifting accessories. They should therefore be subject to a thorough examination by a competent person at least every six months. Regardless of the prevailing legislation, the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) strongly recommends that this policy is adopted by all those with responsibility for ensuring the safe condition of lifting equipment.
