How to order your new Four leg chain sling  - They are custom-made to suit your requirements,  choose what hook you need to attach to your equipment, i.e. Sling Hook/Catch or a Self Locking Hook. What length do you need the chain to be? Do you need to adjust the length of the chain sling, if so add adjusters, we even offer an oversized master link, just in case your lifting hook or crane hook is a lot larger than normal - we make up slings to your requirements and most standard slings can be assembled and dispatched same day if ordered before noon. If your Grade 8 Lifting sling is required urgently, please give us a call.

4-Leg chain slings are one of the most commonly bought lifting accessories because they are very robust and versatile for lifting heavy loads and for most types of Lifting applications either on a construction site or around a factory. Grade 100 Chain Slings are available on request.

The ULS Lifting 4 Leg G80 Chain sling is made up of G80 Components. starting with a G80 Master link, then G80 connecting links, G80 Chain (please confirm Chain Length), and then terminating in G80 hooks. the hooks can be G80 Sling Hooks or G80 Self Locking Hooks.

General notes for Grade 8 4 leg lifting chains - The load capacities of all chain slings are defined with the assumption that the load of the individual chain legs is distributed symmetrically. The load can be considered symmetrical when all the following conditions are met: The angle from the vertical of all chain legs is not less than 15°. The angle from the vertical of all chain legs are equal or deviate by Max. 15° from each other.

In the case of 3 and 4 leg chain slings, the corresponding angles in the sling level deviate by Max. 15° from each other. The load is smaller than 80% of the indicated working load limit.

In-service Inspection and Maintenance requirements on chain slings are actually minimal. 

Keep the condition of the chain slings clean and protect them from corrosion as much as possible. 

Regularly inspect chain slings and, in the event of the following defects, refer the sling to a Competent Person for a thorough examination: illegible markings; distortion of fittings; worn, stretched, bent, or twisted links; ineffective safety catches; cuts, nicks, gouges, cracks, corrosion, heat discoloration or any other defect apparent to the chain or fittings.

In the UK, the Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) make it clear that all chain slings used for lifting purposes are lifting accessories. They should therefore be subject to a thorough examination by a competent person at least every six months. Regardless of the prevailing legislation, the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) strongly recommends that this policy is adopted by all those with responsibility for ensuring the safe condition of lifting equipment.
