Abtech VRS Vertical Rescue System. The Abtech Vertical Rescue System (VRS) is a high-efficiency, unassisted recovery solution designed for the rapid extraction of a suspended casualty following a fall. Engineered for simplicity and power, the VRS features a 4:1 mechanical advantage, allowing a single rescuer to lift a fallen worker with only 25% of the effort normally required.
This complete system is the primary choice for industrial maintenance and overhead work where a "no-contact" rescue is required. Using the integrated telescopic rescue pole, the rescuer can securely attach the system to the casualty’s harness from a distance, then either raise them to a platform or lower them to the ground using the locking pulley control.
Key Features & Benefits
4:1 Mechanical Advantage: Significantly reduces the physical effort required to lift a casualty, making it possible for a single person to perform a successful rescue.
Telescopic Rescue Pole: Allows the rescuer to reach out and connect the recovery line to the casualty's D-ring from a safe distance, eliminating the need for the rescuer to descend to the victim.
Fail-Safe Locking Pulleys: The system features high-quality locking pulleys that provide a controlled descent, ensuring the casualty cannot be accidentally dropped during the lowering phase.
Ready-to-Deploy: Supplied as a pre-rigged system with 11mm EN1891-A rope, ensuring immediate response capability in emergency scenarios.
Versatile Extraction: Optimized for both "Lift-to-Release" (raising a worker to unclip their fall arrest lanyard) and "Controlled Lowering" to a safe level.
