Quality UK-manufactured Adjustable Fork Hook attachment offers a simple and easy method of converting any forklift into a safe mobile lifting crane to aid lifting requirements around the workplace, construction site, or farmyard. These cost-effective adjustable fork hook simply slides over the forklift times, position where required, and then tighten down the two large high-quality "T" screws. Once tightened correctly the fork hook will be secure and will not slide along the tines. Lifting is done via the high-quality swivel hook that is attached under the main body, this allows easy attachment of chain slings, flat slings, and endless lifting slings. Or if required a chain hoist can be easily fitted to the hook.

Lightweight construction allows the forklift hook to be fitted quickly and easily with no time wasted.

A simple design offering low maintenance and operating costs.

Adjustable along the forklift fork length to allow flexibility when load handling.

High-quality hook and shackle to ensure the load being handled are lifted safely.

Large 'T' screw retention to ensure the forklift hook is retained to the forklift forks safely.

Why use a Fork hook and not just sling over the forks - The main reason why the fork hook attachment should be used is to protect your lifting slings. The forks or tines on a forklift have sharp edges and if you use soft slings like a Duplex strap or endless round slings there is a chance these types of slings can be cut on the sharp edges - Using a fork hook and utilizing the hook will eliminate this. reason to use a fork hook is when you are using chain slings or wire rope slings, this creates a metal-on-metal contact with the fork tines and a strong possibility of the slings sliding out of place again, by using a fork hook, it eliminates this. - This last reason and probably the most simple reason, is balance - But using a fork hook between the tines means you are lifting objects at the correct center of balance which eliminates tipping of loads - stay safe and use this quality UK manufactured Fork Hook

MAINTENANCE of FORK HOOKS

The Adjustable Fork Mounted Hook should be inspected weekly for the general condition with particular attention paid to:

All weld points

Wear and distortion of fork pockets and thumb screws

Any damaged/worn components

The general condition of swivel hook, safety latch, and shackle

Damaged or failured hooks should be removed from service immediately and the faults must be reported and rectified immediately prior to re-use of the attachment.

Check the general surface for rusting especially in the critical areas should be treated with proprietary inhibitors, primers, and paint on a regular basis.

This product is certified for twelve (12) months from the date of manufacture after which it is the customer’s responsibility to have the product re-tested at an approved testing facility or inspected and logged in a register by a competent person as advised by the HSE.
