The Probst Round Grab RG is a simple mechanical clamp designed for lifting, transporting, and laying pipes and other round elements. Manufactured with an ultra-slim body which helps when laying round pipes within very slender trenches. An added design feature with the Probst Round Grab it is fitted with the Probst Automatic Release feature, with the advantage to the user of no operator is required to physically touch or engage with the pipe grab once the object has been positioned, the auto release feature kicks in and releases the grab from the pipe.
The RG Round Grab is fitted with a top lifting eye to aid easy attachment to a crane hook or lifting sling that can then be attached to site machinery to aid the lifting and laying of round pipes. the Probst Pipe grab also has a height adjustment bat that helps to both stabilize and grip pipes securely up to a length of 6m long.
Two models are available the Probst RG8/40 and the RG20/40. Both with the easy adjustment of the gripping range (via spring-loaded bolts). see below table for full specifications of the Mechanical Probst Round Grabs. the RG8-40 can also be used with plastic pipes, concrete pipes, and vitrified clay pipes.
